Existe otra edición de este disco con el título traducido al francés, "Droit Au Coeur", pero con la misma portada (a excepción de este detalle).

Recopilatorio con 3 temas nuevos, que reúne, principalmente, material de los discos Soplo Vital y Música Para La Buena Mesa. Pese a estar acreditado a Michel Huygen, incluye también temas de Neuronium. En ambos casos (Michel Huygen solo o como Neuronium), este recopilatorio hace hincapié en la faceta más new age del artista. El listado de temas y su procedencia es el siguiente:

Another issue of this album exists under the name "Droit Au Coeur" (french translation for the album title, which means Straight To The Heart). It has the same cover, except for that detail.

This CD compiles, mainly, songs from the albums Soplo Vital and Música Para La Buena Mesa, plus 3 new tracks that make 10 minutes. Even though it is labeled as a Michel Huygen solo album, it includes songs from Neuronium albums as well. In any case (solo or Neuronium stuff), this compilation showcases the new age side of the artist. The tracklist and procedence of each track is as follows:

Carlos Guirao fue miembro fundador del dúo Neuronium. En 1982 se aleja del proyecto, quedando éste en manos de Michel Huygen. Ese mismo año, Guirao publica Revelation, su único disco solista hasta 2008, en una vena muy similar a la de los trabajos de Neuronium por entonces. El disco nunca fue publicado en CD.

A mediados de los '80 forma parte del dúo Programa, y publica el LP Síntesis Digital (también inédito en CD). Poco se sabe de sus actividades discográficas desde entonces; recientemente un visitante me hizo saber de su retorno a la actividad, y prueba de ello es este nuevo disco, al que aparentemente Guirao no ha dado promoción alguna pero que distribuye a través de internet de manera gratuita. La foto que ilustra este post no es la portada del disco (que ni siquiera la tiene), sino una foto promocional de Neuronium de principios de los '80. Según se comenta en algunos foros, Carlos Guirao padece una enfermedad y se encuentra en tratamiento de quimioterapia.

Carlos Guirao is an ex-member and co-founder of the electronic duo Neuronium. In 1982 he left the project, leaving it on the hands of the other half of the duo, Michel Huygen. That same year, Guirao releases Revelation, his only solo album until 2008. It sounds a lot like anything Neuronium were doing up to that point. The album has never been released on CD.

In the mid 80's, Guirao gives shape to Programa, another duo that released only one album, Síntesis Digital (unreleased on CD as well). Little is known about his recording activities since then; however, recently a visitor let me know of his return to activity, and this album is a proof of it. Apparently, Guirao has not given it any publicity, but he's distributing it through internet for free. The picture above is not the actual album cover (it does not even have one), but an early 80's Neuronium promo shot. Other (sad) news about him is, for what I could read in some electronic music forums so far, he suffers of some kind of illness and is under chemotherapy treatment.

UPDATE: It is with great sadness that I have to inform you that Carlos Guirao finally lost his battle with cancer last January 17th. Rest in peace, wherever you are.

Apenas he podido recabar información en internet sobre este dúo, pero aparentemente, se trata de la continuación de Programa, un difunto proyecto a cargo de Carlos Guirao (ex-Neuronium) y un tal Josep Antoni López. El primero no está presente en este disco, y su lugar lo ocupa José María Ciria (At-Mooss, y ex-colaborador de Neuronium).

Según leí en internet por entonces, Guirao no se encuentra en un buen estado de salud y se está sometiendo a un tratamiento de quimioterapia. Poco después encontré un hilo interesantísimo, en el cual el propio Carlos postea, y lamentablemente los rumores son ciertos. Por suerte ya se encuentra mejor.

Durante su convalecencia dio forma a éste, su tercer disco solista (apenas un año después de Pesadillas De Un Ser Viviente), cuyo título refleja las condiciones en las que tuvo que concebirlo. Pese a todo, el sonido de esta tercera referencia dista de sus predecesores (leer apartado de subgénero).

Gracias a Carlos Guirao por compartir su obra altruistamente, y a Mindchild por acercarme el disco y el scan.

Recopilatorio de cuatro temas (uno, de tres minutos y medio, inédito) publicado en 1987 para conmemorar el décimo aniversario de Neuronium. La primera versión de este disco vio la luz sólo en vinilo, y sin alteración de los masters originales; en 1996 Michel Huygen los remezcla, remasteriza y limpia y reedita este recopilatorio en CD, con otra portada y una pista interactiva. Esta edición digital celebra el vigésimo aniversario de su obra (a diferencia de la análoga -en vinilo-, que conmemoraba el décimo). Enlace en comentarios.

This four track compilation (with a three and half minute unreleased tune) was originally released on vinyl in 1987 to celebrate Neuronium's 10th anniversary. The master tapes used for this version suffered no change at all. In 1996 Michel Huygen remastered, remixed and cleaned them, and re-released the album on CD with an interactive track as a bonus. The cover art changed as well. This digital version celebrates Huygen's 20th anniversary as a composer (unlike the first one, which celebrated its 10th anniversary). Link in comments.

Este disco ya había sido posteado antes, aunque se trataba de un rip de 192 kbps. En esta ocasión se ofrece un rip en formato FLAC (copia clónica, sin pérdida, del CD original), y otro en MP3 a 320 kbps.

Último disco con Carlos Guirao. Todos los discos subsiguientes de Neuronium fueron obra de Michel Huygen. A propósito, en este hilo el propio Carlos explica las amargas razones que lo empujaron a abandonar el grupo.

Comments:This album has alredy been posted here before, but it was at 192 kbps rip. This time, a lossless rip (in FLAC format) as well as a 320 kbps rip have been uploaded.Last album with Carlos Guirao in the line-up. Every Neuronium album afterwards has been the work of Michel Huygen. By the way, if you happen to speak spanish, on this thread the own Carlos explains the reasons why he left the group. If you do not, he says, essentially, that it was a matter of "ego, ego and more ego" and that Chromium Echoes had a lot of tension (he doesn't explain if it was the album itself or the atmosphere in which it was recorded...) that he didn't like at all. He also says that Michel had a one hour TV program at the time and asked him to help him out; Carlos agreed and they rehearsed for a few weeks, and everything was ok. The TV program went fine, but when they went back to the rehearsal room and he set up all his equipment, Michel told him that he didn't need him anymore.
